Transformed by her trip to Manila tracing her family’s roots, Jing was inspired by her heritage + homeland, sparking Other Brown Girl (OBG), a digital storytelling community designed for women of culture leading colorful, creative lives on their own terms.
OBG is a multicultural storytelling space dedicated to empowering Other Brown Girl makers, founders + dreamers – elevating their collective voices through online outreach, engagement + creative entrepreneurship.
From writing about first generation childhoods + immigration journeys, to traveling back ”home” re-tracing family roots, to making meaning + a living through multicultural crafts, OBG celebrates stories about Other Brown Girls, women, + leaders to spark conversation + curiosity powered by #OtherBrownGirl culture + social impact. Author + fun-loving #OtherBrownGirl Filipino founder, Jing is currently writing her memoir about her OBG adventures + her cancer comeback. More to come…
